MONDAY, JANUARY 16, 2012
MINUTES
Present: Joan Bator, Bob Copeland, Diane Hitter, Jim Pelletier, Julia Pelletier, Fr. David Raymond, Ed St. John, III, Pam St. John, Pat Sadin. Presenter: George Sweet
Absent: Wally Boyer, Ann Cain, Deacon Bob Hitter, Dominick Lovallo, Stasia Mott, Dominick Papas, Shirley Papas, Joann Pasquini
Pam St. John opened the meeting with a prayer at 7:04 p.m.
Diane Hitter asked that the minutes of the 11/1/2011 meeting be accepted as read - so moved.
Diane welcomed George Sweet, who came to present an updated report on the church lighting. Before he did that, Jim Pelletier explained the analysis of the lighting in the church and in the hall. He believes the lights are on less than the analysis and would like Jessica to do another analysis. Fr. David said he believes the usage in the hall is greater than in the church.
George presented the proposal from National Grid: to replace 44 fixtures and bulbs in the hall would be approximately $9,430 - National Grid would pay $6,600 and St. Mary's would pay $2,900. For the church and the rectory, the proposal would be approximately $2,150 - National Grid would pay $1,505 and St. Mary's would pay $645.
Father David suggested checking with some other organizations that have done this type of project. In the meantime, the council gave approval to go forward with further investigation.
For a future project, George Sweet gave the council a book with fans and prices.
